Braiding Sweetgrass, by Robin Wall Kimmerer

FREE
FORMAT. Discussion will center around a few selected quotes and corresponding questions (chosen by Laurie and/or anyone else who wants to contribute in that way) so that you can enjoy and participate without having read the book. The book will provide our inspiration, a jumping off point, but the discussion will be from our own lives, hearts and experiences.
INSPIRATION FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO MIGHT FEEL LIKE YOU SHOULD ATTEND FOR SOME REASON OTHER THAN YOUR HEART’S DESIRE. Let your level of participation be 100% guided by your own desire. No shoulds here. You can attend with or without preparing, with or without sharing, with or without reading the book, or, obviously, not at all.
ENCOURAGEMENT FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO WANT TO ATTEND BUT FEEL GUILTY OR TOO BUSY. If you want more passion or joy in your life, my meditation teacher says, “Stop doing the other stuff [the stuff you are not passionate about] and make more room [for the stuff that you are passionate about].” My Qi Gong teacher puts it another way, “Don’t try to be useful,” he says, and “Don’t doubt yourself.”
